STEP BY STEP
Watch each step
STEP 1
Open your compartment.
Use your regular mailbox key. Unpack the faceplate, side plate, and hardware.
STEP 2
Clean both side walls.
Use the two alcohol pads, one per side — top, bottom, front to back. Let it dry (about a minute).
STEP 3
Attach the hinge.
Set the hinge on the studs of the side plate and snug the nuts with a 3/8" or crescent wrench. Snug only — don't over-tighten.
STEP 4
Set side one.
Peel the tape backing. Slide the plate all the way to the back, a couple of inches off the wall. Then press it to the side with about 20 lb of hand pressure and run your hand down its length.
STEP 5
Set side two.
Same again on the other wall.
STEP 6
Lock it.
Unlock, close the door, lock, pull the key. That's your SLAYRAD™. The tape keeps getting stronger and reaches full strength after 72 hours.

FIT FIRST
Measure your compartment
SLAYRAD™ fits standard 4C wall-unit compartments and pedestal cluster boxes about 12 in wide, 3 in tall and 15 in deep. Open your door and measure inside width, height and depth. The fit is deliberately tight — if any one of your three numbers comes in under ours, the insert will not go in.
Make your mail the hardest target on the block.
To our knowledge, SLAYRAD™ is the only device a resident can install in their own compartment that still protects the mail after the door — or the whole unit — has been broken open.
It does not stop carrier robbery, theft before delivery, package theft, or damage to the cluster unit itself.
